Senior Manager, Health Alliance 

 

Evolve BioSystems, Inc. – Field Based Position in the USA

Reporting to the Health Alliance Director, the Senior Manager, Health Alliance to serve as an integral member of the Health Alliance team. The role of Senior Manager, Health Alliance is to optimize product revenue via national accounts (IDNs, GPOs, Distributors, etc.) and third-party payers, ensure profitable institutional access, and maximize outcomes for reimbursement. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment. The Senior Manager, Health Alliance will require strong business acumen, superior sales skills, and a strategic mindset due to the range of targeted customers and complex sales cycle. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales objectives (80%)
    • Meet/exceed sales objectives by building awareness and ensuring access of Evolve BioSystems portfolio with national accounts via formulary authorization/contract: 
      • Conduct business meetings with all target accounts to build brand awareness
      • Negotiate and Secure systemwide and/or regional agreements with target national accounts and third-party payers in line with Health Alliance strategy
      • Develop execution plan for Medical Sales team when agreements are made to help drive profitable sales at the local level
      • Develop in-depth understanding of targeted accounts, competitive landscape and prioritize opportunities
      • Apply the sales process, presentation skills and effective communication to build customer relationships and gain agreements that will help drive profitable sales
      • Attend and participate in national industry conferences as needed to strengthen business relationships and drive sales objectives 
    • Maximize profitable sales by obtaining reimbursement from third-party payers (Government and Private Insurance) 
  • Business Planning (20%)
    • Develop, review and modify business plan quarterly, execute the plan, and own the results
    • Provide analytical insights, roadblocks, and opportunities for target accounts
    • Prepare proposals and presentations as needed to meet business objectives
    • Engage in robust, productive, and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders. Deliver new ideas/suggestions, market trends and competitive activity to leadership team
    • Function as a subject matter expert for the business, and brand
    • Maintains and utilizes Microsoft Dynamics365 as the customer relationship management database including tracking of sales activity and to ensure that data is accurate, complete and up-to-date
    • Implement health alliance effectiveness measurements (national account, access & reimbursement prioritization, customer relationship management, key performance indicators, etc.) required to ensure organization success
    • Manage travel and expense budget and submit reports per policy

Therefore, evidence of aligning strategic plans to support the company vision and bring it to life will be critical. This will require an ability to translate strategy into specific goals, objectives and an execution plan that encompasses the unique characteristics of our accounts (i.e. contract negotiation, value added programs, access and reimbursement opportunities, etc.).

Therefore, driving growth in a commercially responsible manner leveraging knowledge of healthcare dynamics, contract negotiations and third-party reimbursement process is critical.

Ideal Experience/Education:

  • 3-5 years of national account management experience in business-to-business sales; ideally within the healthcare industry and hospital environment 
  • Experience selling to IDNs, GPOs, Distributors, and third-party payers, with documented ability to meet customer’s need, while delivering business results 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain existing working relationships with c-level, medical officers, CFO and procurement officers 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred 
  • Proven track record with excellent negotiation skills

Geographic Work Conditions:

  • Field-based position; preference for a Midwest or an East Coast candidate 
  • Willing to travel domestic (and international) up to 60% 
  • Valid Driver’s License is mandatory
